HAPPY NEW YEAR! - Version 2.3 Changelog
Hello! It has been quite some time, hasn't it?
A late Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you! I hope this year will be amazing to all of you, so far it has started greatly for me!
Lately I've been working on some secret original games I'm developing, and the progress is going splendidly. But I can't just let this game die, right? Not that it's that alive anyway, but I appreciate SO MUCH the few people who are interested in this.
So here's VERSION 2.3 for ya!
This update bring a lot of fun changes, and important fixes with bugs, grammar, and more.

WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 2.3
- ADDED: Real-time based special events system.
- ADDED: TITLE SCREEN now has some little cutscenes, text and cosmetics depending if the game is played in December (Christmas), January (New Year) and the day of my Birthday.
- ADDED: Some little secrets depending on some special events...
- ADDED: Some new menu sounds depending on some special events.
- ADDED: A pre-historical sound effect I made that replaces the normal ACHIEVEMENT GET! sound on any special event.
- ADDED: A new TITLE SCREEN music that plays on any special event.
- ADDED: New comments in the code.
- ADDED: Three new options to reset ACHIEVEMENTS, SETTINGS and CUSTOM NIGHT's score.
- ADDED: Descriptions to the CUSTOM NIGHT's settings to better understand what they exactly are for.
- REMOVED: Unused lines of code/text.
- REMOVED: Two unused audio files of the ACHIEVEMENTs' music box sound, that were it but in a different pitch (pitch change has always been done in-game instead).
- REMOVED: Unused "glitchy" effect.
- CHANGE: TITLE SCREEN music has been updated to loop in a better way to make it less annoying and repetitive.
- CHANGE: All audio files have been converted to ogg and optimized, reducing their size by more than half while keeping the same quality.
- CHANGE: E SEQUENCES main characters' text sounds no longer have reverb in their raw audio files (since the E Sequences have already reverb in the game).
- CHANGE: You can no longer toggle the HUD in E SEQUENCES and the GRAPHICS and KEYBINDS sections of the MENU.
- CHANGE: ACHIEVEMENT GET! popup now has a bouncy animation instead of the old in-out one.
- CHANGE: "The Funny Number" achievement now has a better hint description.
- CHANGE: Some minor text changes related to the game's final achievement and the character related to it.
- CHANGE: Some minor text changes to E SEQUENCES' dialogues.
- CHANGE: NIGHT 1's failure dialogues have been remade because they were too similar to NIGHT 2's.
- CHANGE: NIGHT 4's success dialogues are now mute except for the last two.
- CHANGE: NIGHT 5 now has the same exact failure dialogues and cutscene of NIGHT 1.
- CHANGE: NIGHT 5's success dialogues got some minor changes.
- CHANGE: NIGHT 4's failure dialogues have been replaced with NIGHT 5's old ones with some minor changes to them.
- CHANGE: Some minor dialogue positioning changes in some NIGHTs.
- CHANGE: Grammar fixes.
- CHANGE: The text when you get an UPGRADE got some minor changes.
- CHANGE: Minor changes to the INTRO's Professor Layton credits text, including also the letter image in it.
- CHANGE: Minor changes to some of the names and titles of the CUSTOM NIGHT's settings and sections.
- CHANGE: UPGRADEs now spawn even after getting them.
- CHANGE: Animations of HOMIES, WOMEN and UPGRADEs now play even if the MENU is visible.
- CHANGE: Minor changes to some comments in the code and to some debug prints as well.
- CHANGE: SAVE-FILE deletion now happens at the end of the deletion text's fade out instead of right when confirming the deletion, to allow players to have an extra chance to cancel it in case of second thoughts.
- CHANGE: E SEQUENCES' intro now have the VHS effect visible.
- CHANGE: The floating pieces of the labyrinth's E SEQUENCE now corrupt as well like the red room one when getting almost every achievement or all of them.
- CHANGE: The red room E SEQUENCE's constant haptic feedback's strength is now higher if the room is glitched or lower if the room is normal.
- CHANGE: The final cutscene from the red room's E SEQUENCE is no longer replayable after getting the achievement, and it can now be played the first time at the end of any E SEQUENCE.
- CHANGE: Changed the moment (later) where the game takes a snapshot to use in the background of a jumpscare.
- CHANGE: Touched a bit the minimum and maximum values you can set in some of the CUSTOM NIGHT settings.
- CHANGE: Touched a bit the minimum and maximum values you can get by randomizing CUSTOM NIGHT settings.
- BUG FIX: Updating the "Fancy Lights" setting while playing a NIGHT and with CARs on the screen now correctly updates their lights.
- BUG FIX: CUSTOM NIGHT settings now fully work and it's possible to set custom ones without any problems now.
- BUG FIX: Now the CUSTOM NIGHT settings' boxes reset to the correct location when entering a value in a device with a virtual keyboard.
- BUG FIX: SCORE and RECORD texts now show correctly extremely large values.
- BUG FIX: Fixed some E SEQUENCES sound effects that didn't correctly stop when they are supposed to.
- BUG FIX: Android buttons are no longer visible during an E SEQUENCE's intro animation.
- BUG FIX: Fixed an E SEQUENCES' bug in some devices where the graphical TV static effect glitched and overlapped weirdly with the VHS/monitor overlay when talking with some NPCs that trigger its fade in/out animation.
- BUG FIX: Now the labyrinth E SEQUENCE's rare ambient sound actually plays.
- BUG FIX: Not really a bug, but now skipping the INTRO accidentally by double clicking on the game's window title bar to maximize the window should no longer be a possible mistake (surprise me if you actually manage to still do that somehow).
- BUG FIX: Jumpscares now have effects that truly work, some newly added ones, and some that are now faster to update, making them way better than before.
- BUG FIX: The constant haptic feedback's strength is now correct in the final part of the game's final achievement cutscene.
- BUG FIX: The NIGHT's music now fades in like the atmosphere sound when starting one.
- BUG FIX: Fixed some text and boxes changing slightly and becoming slightly blurry or misaligned due to wrong mip-mapping in "Smooth-Criminal" VIEWPORT MODE.
- BUG FIX: Fixed some text borders being a bit blurry and ugly.
- BUG FIX: Randomizing the CUSTOM NIGHT settings "Current Score" and "E.S. Start" now limit themselves correctly between the settings' values of "Required Score" and "Current Time".
- BUG FIX: The text required to click to complete the "Power of "Yellow-stone"" ACHIEVEMENT now correctly highlights in white when hovered.
